Star Forge is Released!

Play Star Forge on Armor Games!

For those of you just joining us- your goal is to build towers in order to protect your factory from marauding spaceships. Select components for the factory to build, then use those components to build towers! Towers evolve and grow depending on what components you place on them. Scrap Metal is what’s used to get the tower going- then you can add range buffs, damage amplifiers, and bullet upgrades such as explosive damage and slowing! There will also be one-time use items, such as tower heals, bombs, and recycle- which will break your tower back down into its components so they can be reused.

This game is one of our favorites, which is saying a lot. Once you beat the standard game we also threw in some survival modes to give you room for bragging to friends.

Parts Packs Super Sale!

Today we’re pleased to announce that for one week, the Parts Packs superbundle is being marked down to $2.99! This is 70% off the original superbundle price! If you haven’t bought the Parts Packs yet, now is the time! Head over to BubbleTanks.com and get it now!

In case you forgot or have recently joined, here’s a breakdown of what the Parts Packs include:

Parts Pack 1 features 21 extra parts for your tanks including the Railgun, Sticky Bomber, Minigun and more! Dominate your enemy bubble tanks with the locking feature! Locking enables you to cycle through on screen targets- the longer you keep them on screen the more locks you build up to unleash and fire all at once! Some weapons can even make use of the Lock Expander parts which can increase the number of available locks from 1 to 3 or even 6.

Parts Pack 2 brings you 20 brand new parts including Lightning Traps, Impact Shield, Super Blaster, Phaser, Seeker Factory and more! New chargeable weapons build up massive amounts of power as you hold the mouse button- release to unleash all your built up power at once. The more charged the weapon the more it will do- an uncharged Phaser only deals a beam of 3 damage, but fully charged it can do over 120 damage and pass through some enemies!

Keep in mind, enemies can be built with any combination of parts from the standard game and both Parts Packs, so you dual pack purchasers will find a LOT of extra unseen combinations.

Additionally, you’ll still get access to the Console system (Check out The Console) that comes with the purchase of any Parts Pack. This allows you do type in commands that do everything from unlocking all parts, setting your own Gun Point limit, manually spawning enemy tanks with a given ID#, viewing the unit table, and more!

Remember, this sale is only for ONE WEEK, so don’t wait- get the Parts Packs today!

Star Forge and Other Game Updates

Although it seems like we just announced Star Forge, it is nearly complete and should be available to play within a week.  At this point, all we are doing is wrapping up the levels and survival mode.

I have to say that Star Forge has turned out fantastic! It really is a lot of fun and has been one of my favorite projects I’ve worked on.   It’s just constant action and explosions with a few small breaks in between to upgrade and modify your towers.  But the game is so simple you can jump right in and get to it.  Eric has been cranking on the code and I’ve been pumping out the art (a large reason the game resembles Vector Boom) and together the two have been fusing together to produce pure awesomeness.  In case you missed the last post, the game revolves around your factory (located in the center) which pumps out resources to build and modify your towers.  Set up defenses->blow stuff up.  W00t!

Other game updates:

- Retired Wizard Defense: It’s finished and sponsored and just waiting on some language translations before we can release.  It could be released this month.

- Checkpoint: Meanwhile Jason and Lisa have been pumping out Checkpoint levels and wrapping that game up.  It too is nearly finished and should be coming out soon, as it is also sponsored and ready to go!  I hope you guys have been practicing your wall jumps…

- Shifty: Pretty much done!  We are starting to look for a site to partner with to push this game out!

- Pixel 2: Yes, it’s under development.  Jimmy has been working on this one while in school this past year and it’s coming along as well.  Not sure as to a release date, but I expect to see it finished within a few months.  We should start having some screenshots and more information on the game this summer.

- Zoo-Opolis: Our Facebook game is getting wrapped up and should be released early May or sooner!  You will definitely be seeing a lot more information coming out in the next week or so.  KC has been delivering a lot more kickass art while we’ve been working on these other titles- pumping out over 200 more avatar items, bringing the total to over 300!

- Bubble Tanks TD 2: It’s under development but still has a long way to go yet.   Expect some more news after we get Zoo-Opolis out and running for awhile.

In short, we could be releasing FIVE games within the next 30 days. I don’t think we even released five games last year, so I think you can understand why we’ve been so busy.  But some of these games have been in development for a long time and I’m super excited to start releasing them to you guys for playing.  Stay tuned, we’ve got a lot of games coming soon!

Announcing: Star Forge! – And Hero Update

Yes, the blog has been a bit neglected over the past couple weeks. We’re sorry for that, but we’ve been (and still are) in major overdrive mode to finish up some games. We’ll be releasing a few games this month (more on that in a bit), including the one we’re announcing today- Star Forge! This game is actually close to completion and could be out as soon as next week!

Your goal is to build towers in order to protect your factory from marauding spaceships.

Additionally, we’ve made some crazy progress on our other games. Checkpoint, Shifty, and Zoo-Opolis are nearly complete and could be out this month! Retired Wizard Defense has been picked up by a sponsor who plans to release it in multiple languages, so once those translations are ready RWD will be released as well! Clear you calenders, friends, you’ll soon have gaming to do! :D
